Words & Paintery December Challenge, Shadowbox

Once Upon A Time...

there lived a little Gothic Blythe doll,
named Devon of Salem, in a tiny house in the Woods.
Her tricycle was parked outside. Christmas Stockings hung on the fireplace mantel and a few presents were lying at the foot of the decorated Christmas tree. A new doll was already showing her porcelain face. The chandelier in the top of the house lit up the scene, showing the ghostly reflection in the old mirror.

Then something happened...

Strolling the woods the other day, I stumbled upon this little house. As I got nearer, birds stopped whistling and I felt a chill in the air. Around me there was no sign of frost or snow. The little house however, seemed to be frozen in time. Snow and ice covered the entire scene, from the wood rooftop with the little bird's nest on it, to the fireplace, mirror, Christmas tree, presents, and even Devon herself.
Twas an eery scene... Sad... Breathtakingly beautiful though!
Was there magic involved? A spell? Fear?

I'm so happy I could die...

Wow...

I feel the need to re-introduce myself here! It's been 1,5 years ago since I blogged! It's also been that long since I really scrapped... Damn... What happened?

Well, Blythes came in my life. They came, saw and took my heart over. I started out with 1, June last year. Now, I'm up to 10 of them! And I'm building them a house, no, a whole appartment! So most my free time was spent with my beautiful plastic dolls, who are so much more than dolls. Their expressive faces, their attitudes, characters. The eyes that change colour and position. Their face that changes even more when you vary the angle of your camera. Their cute litte wardrobes, shoes, necessities...

Also, I moved my scrap-room! I'm no longer scrapping in the attic, I've moved one floor lower, in a spare bedroom. But, that bedroom had to be altered first. New ceiling with spotlights, fresh FUCHSIA paint on the walls, new Ikea furniture. This weekend I scrapped in my new room for the first time. The attic is still a mess, and not everything in my scrap-room is in place yet, but I can scrap again.

Combine these items and what do you get? Right, a LO about one of my Blythes... Her name is Roxie Starlight, she's cool, she's wicked, she's pierced, she's bored, she's hit puberty... You get the picture? If not, the visual's underneath... Check it out!

Take care, leave me a comment if you're still with me after all this time! Or, if you've just discovered me... I intend to show my face a lot more again... ;)

Happy scrappin'!
